The Central Laboratory (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (CLT) is previously the Laboratory Center for Food and Agricultural Products Co.,Ltd.(LCFA) created on the 17th of June 2003 by virtue of the Thai Government Cabinet Resolution with a budget of 1,950 M Baht and consisted of six laboratories located in six provinces in the Kingdom of Thailand. It was then officially opened on the 17th of May 2004 envisioned to testing foods and agricultural products for quality and safety and to one stop and fast services of food products and commodities for exports.
In response to the vision, LCFA had adopted the Q-logo meaning Quality and is inscribed with Food Safety which espouses the strong stance of the government in responding to the food safety needs of the country and of importing countries. After 3 years of success in the arena of testing, the LCFA expanded its scope. Aside from testing only food products and commodities, the laboratories accommodated testing on non-food products and commodities, providing inspections and fumigation, consultations and training services.
On the 1st day of January 2008, LCFA acquired the new name...the Central Laboratory (Thailand) Co., Ltd. and is at present being addressed by the common folks the Central Lab Thai. In response to this broader scope, the Q logo stands the same but without the Food Safety inscription however underpinned and the Central Lab Thai is tasked to be the Gateway to Global Quality.
