In Brief

 

The Central Laboratory (Thailand) Company Limited (CLT) has established in accordance with the Cabinet Resolution since 17 June 2003 or presently operating for more than 17 years. CLT has accredited the international standard of ISO/IEC 17025, certified more than 1,000 laboratory testing parameters and abled to support more than 400,000 samples per year. Certainly, CLT is not only able to provide standard product analysis services for exporters, entrepreneurs, agribusinesses, SMEs, OTOP and community enterprises but support to the policy transfer from the governmental agency as well such as the Department of Fisheries, Thai Industrial Standards Institute Excise Department and Rice Department. In advance, CLT has 6 branches covering all the country regions, including Chiang Mai, Khon Kaen, Chachoengsao, Samut Sakhon, Songkhla and Bangkok.

 

With the potential of CLT, the company has also received the international standard of ISO/IEC 17025 - the general requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories, ISO 29993 – Learning services for non-formal education and training, ISO/IEC 17043 - General requirements for proficiency testing, ISO/IEC 17065 and ISO/IEC 17021-1 - standards for Certification Bodies (CB) from the National Bureau of Agricultural Commodity and Food Standards, including Recognized by partner countries - Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfares (MHLW), Japan Hongkong Center of Food Safety, Hongkong Ministry of Food and Drugs Safety and Korea ASEAN countries.

In this regard, EURLs (European Union Reference Laboratories) announced that CLT was the only one in Thailand that passed the Pesticide Residue Test for Specific Crops for Export in 2016, CLT in Thailand was only 1 in 5 of Asia, including China, India, Indonesia, Singapore and Thailand that have passed the tests. Central Lab Thai had tested for EURLs for 3 consecutive years from 2014 - 2016.

 

For Laboratory Testing Services

To service laboratory testing for supporting and enhancing product performances in groups of exporters, entrepreneurs, agribusinesses, SMEs, OTOP, community enterprises, product researchers, developers and consumers

• • Testing for vegetables and fruits for exporting and consuming for the country and partner countries such as pesticide residues in groups of Organochlorine, Organophosphate, Carbamate and Pyrethroid.
  • Testing for fishery and livestock products for exporting by testing the residues of chemicals, antibiotics, microbiology and heavy metal.
  • Testing for food composition and nutrient to make the nutrition fact label and test for product shelf-life.
  • Testing for process food products, beverages, daily products, bakeries, seasonings and others by testing for food additive, toxin, microbiology, and heavy metal.
  • Testing for seeds, cereals, plant foods and fishery products for toxin and bio-toxin.
  • Testing for the quality of water, ice, water reservoirs and wastewater, according to international standards.
  • Testing for Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs) in plant foods, raw materials and products of animal feeds, according to the requirements of partner countries.
  • Testing for Genetic Materials of DNA/RNA in plant foods, foods, Halal foods and animal feeds, including to virus pathogens in aquatic animals and fishery products for exporting, according to the requirements of OIE partner countries and others.
  • Testing for the quality of agricultural productivity factors in the registration process with the results such as fertilizer composition and active ingredient in agricultural hazardous substances.
  • Testing for Food Contact Materials, Packaging and Packaging Waste, including the material quality and the material distribution of packaging migration.
  • Testing for the agricultural and food product analysis, according to the agreement of product distribution between partner countries such as Bird’s Nest Products.
  • Testing for foods, cosmetics and other products for reporting and monitoring for food, environmental and occupational health issues and testing for supporting research manners.
